Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
OpisJuris (“we”, “us”) operates a nationwide legal research platform. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account data you provide at sign-up: email address and password (managed by our authentication provider).
- Research data you create: research folders, saved authority, research trail, and docket tracking entries.
- Usage data: AI research queries and counts used to enforce plan limits.
- Billing data: handled by our payment provider (Wix Payments); we do not store full card numbers.
How we use it
To provide search, AI research, saved-work, and subscription features; to enforce usage quotas; to improve search relevance and product quality; and to send essential account and security notices.
Legal authority
OpisJuris surfaces primary legal authority from public government sources. We do not claim copyright over that material; links point to the original source. AI-generated summaries and blog posts are general information, not legal advice.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your research data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated research data at any time from the Account & Settings section of your Workspace; deletion also signs you out.
Third-party links
The platform links to external legal research sites and government sources. We are not affiliated with those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices or pricing.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account data. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion option or contact us.
Children
OpisJuris is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time. For questions, see the Contact page.
